A team member who has been with us for three days will most likely make far more mistakes in chat than one who has been with us for three years. If we point out each and every error to the newcomer, we might erode their confidence rather than build their skills. Rather, for this person, we should go out of our way to highlight the positive, and give only a couple of small tweaks per day. Over time, we can give more and more advanced feedback.
So too, with the person who's been here for three years, we should still strive to find areas of growth at that person's level. There will never be a time when any of us have made it and give mistake free chats, and even newcomers may have ways to help veterans improve their game.
